Drinking more alcohol increases the risk of lung cancer?

One study showed that the amount of alcohol that people can put on as much muscle, the risk of lung cancer is greatly increased.

Dr. Stanton Siu - a specialist group of private health at Kaiser Permanente in California, U.S. - tracking the diet and lifestyles of 126,000 people in 1978 and 1985. They then statistically people with lung cancer in this group in 2008, HealthDay said.

Results showed that drinking three or more alcoholic li per day risk of lung cancer increased by 30%. The risk jumped to 70% if the drink is beer.

"Cigarette smoking is a cause of lung cancer leading, but alcohol consumption is also a factor," said Dr. Norman Edelman, chief medical officer of the American Lung Association, said.

Edelman argues that lung cancer risk may increase due to the effects of alcohol, but also due to the effects of secondhand smoke, because many people often drink more wine or beer in the smoke-free environment.

The researchers also found people who are overweight or obese are at risk for lung cancer is lower than other objects. However, experts say that does not mean we should try to become fat to fight lung cancer.

In another study, scientists in the Czech found reduced lung cancer risk by 31% in women who did not smoke and drank black tea regularly. The risk is further reduced in both sexes if we drink black tea and fruit regularly, and not smoking.
